This is officially the first (and only) decent picture of me performing.

Thank you Jianhua for taking it!
Last night I performed at LSE's Malaysia-Singapore Night - it was some talent competition; unfortunately I didn't win it. The winning entry was this amazingly talented group of 'hip-flop' dancers who called themselves The Fellaz. You should watch their performance. In the words of Russell Peters, it didn't blow my mind, it blassteeedd my mind. Hahah.
They definitely deserved the 100-pound cash prize. I'd stuck to my bare basics, playing Man Bai's Kau Ilhamku and one of my own, Love Song For Later (you can watch my performance here on Facebook). It was a lot of fun nonetheless.
But I think the highlight of my evening was when I was backstage with The Fellaz. I was just playing some Justin Timberlake tunes and then one of them started to beatbox with it and another started to do some improv dancing. It was some really wicked stuff. Hopefully we'll collaborate in the future to do some kind of acoustic/hip-flop thing, it'd be fully awesome!
Anyway, this blog has been increasingly abandoned since I left for London, and it's not because I've been terribly busy. Quite sadly to say, it's been quite the opposite. I don't know what's happened to me... some days I just feel like I've really lost the drive I used to have back in college. You know, to get myself involved in things. Other than music, of course, that never really required much discipline, haha.
I mean, my first year is pretty much over by next week, and I feel like I've done nothing, and I've felt increasingly lost about where my course and career is going. The only achievement I can think of, really, is the fact that I've managed to drag my ass to gym consistently 4 times a week since I signed up.
I seriously need to pick things up. Generally, I've been just keeping afloat with everything - that includes my academics. Not very safe. Other than a short vacation in Dublin during the Easter break, I'm going to be a complete nerd during the upcoming holidays, otherwise I will face the unnecessarily embarrassing consequences of failing my first year in university!
London, what are you doing to meeeeee. :(
Actually, it's more like, what am I doing to myself. Ajhagsdjhagsd.
I think I'll start to get things going again, starting with this blog. :D
